STEAM activities allow students to learn through investigative, collaborative, and hands-on activities. They promote critical thinking and innovation.  Employment opportunities in STEAM occupations are becoming more important to our economy.  However, statistics show that women and minorities are underrepresented in the area of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics careers. STEAM activities help pique the interest of our participants in the hope that they may consider that a  degree in a STEAM field of study may be a viable choice for them during their post-secondary level.
